The Garden Room

Garden Room Suite – simple accommodation in the main homestead decorated in the style and era of the early settlers. A choice of continental or full breakfast is available.

Built in 1917, The Homestead, has high ceilings and thick hand made brick walls, there are many original features such as: wide jarrah floor boards, sash windows and working fireplaces. The central hallway and wide wrap around verandahs are all typical of the large homes built in this period. Originally built for a family with 6 children, the Homestead has large bedrooms with fireplaces and a dining room large enough to seat extended family and guests for shared meals, church services and district meetings.

The Garden Room in The Homestead has it’s own private entrance. Inside there is a comfortable suite with modern facilities. You won’t find this suite over decorated or full of flippery as it is presented in the style and era of these original settlers.

In the Garden room suite there is a sun lounge with large windows looking out onto the gardens, the perfect spot for a quiet read or to watch the native Blue Wrens or robins. A small refrigerator and tea & coffee making facilities are here for your convenience. The bedroom has a queensize bed with electric blanket. Ensuite with shower complete this comfortable and charming suite.

Continental or fully cooked breakfasts are offered to guests in the family dining room. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement.

Garden room guests are welcome to wander around and enjoy the gardens. The mobile booster installed in the homestead will provide coverage for some carriers. The Homestead and Gardens are No Smoking zones.
