Everyone is so friendly, the sites are well spaced, the gardens and grounds are tended regularly and provide you with a never ending array of birdlife, ducks etc. Only 225 km from Perth it is the perfect long weekend escape (or longer if you can manage). It is far enough away from Bridgetown (12 km) to be quiet and calm, but close enough to nip down for extra supplies (but do buy your eggs from Cate as they are delicious) and to enjoy the odd morning tea/coffee or lunch.
There are any number of places to go and see, all within easy reach, but we usually just spend most of our time going for walks around the gorgeous gardens and enjoying the peace and quiet.
The amenities are not brand new, but are incredibly clean and with a good hot shower. What more can you ask for and all of this at an amazingly affordable price, considering what many parks are now charging.
Do yourself a favour and give this lovely park a try, I am sure that, like us, you will keep on returning. More

It is close to many towns so plenty of opportunity to do day trips
Bridgetown is the closet 15 mins away and has everything you need
